At Cosby & Calhoun, our founding attorney, Charles C. Cosby, Jr., worked as a Virginia Supreme Court law clerk and an assistant commonwealth’s attorney for the city of Richmond before opening his own practice. He has presented at the Virginia State Police Training Academy, the City of Richmond Police Department training facility, and the Top Gun program at the College of William and Mary where drug prosecutors and investigators obtain training. He has defended many publicized trials involving murder, embezzlement, sex offenses and drug distribution.
Since 2015, attorney Kevin E. Calhoun has worked alongside Mr. Cosby at our firm, learning from Mr. Cosby’s more than 40 years of criminal defense work. Mr. Calhoun graduated from Hampden-Sydney College and attended law school in North Carolina, where he spent much of his time interning with a prosecutor’s office and gained invaluable experience handling a variety of traffic and criminal cases. He combines his legal skills with the belief that that every client should have someone on their side who is willing to tirelessly fight for them, no matter the situation.
